Numerous Local Associations
Set to Have Voice, Vote
at NYS USBC Annual Meeting

APRIL 2, 2013 -- About 50 NYS USBC local associations have made their intentions known to have voting delegates in attendance at the 2013 NYS USBC Annual Meeting on June 1 in Albany.

Local associations that will be represented by delegates are as follows:

Positions up for election in 2013 are as follows:

-- President (special circumstances apply; see nomination resume form below). Priscilla “Pat” Zonneville of Marion is the current president.

-- Sergeant-at-Arms. Liz DeHart of Staten Island is the current sergeant-at-arms.

-- Two Adult Directors. Adult Director positions held by Sally Iacovelli of Ithaca and Betty Kingsley of Rochester are up for election. Nancy Walczyk of Boston (Buffalo area) has indicated that she will not be running for re-election to her Adult Director position and, as a result, that position will be eliminated -- per the NYS USBC bylaws which state that the number of directors on the board will be reduced by attrition to 12.

-- Two Youth Directors. Youth Director positions held by Mike Callan of Rochester and Penny Clinton-Jensen are up for election.

-- NYS delegate and alternate to the 2014 USBC Annual Meeting.

The Annual Meeting will be at the Desmond Hotel & Conference Center in Albany.  The meeting will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013. It will be preceded by a Memorial Service at noon. The Desmond Hotel & Conference center is located at 660 Albany-Shaker Road, Albany, NY, 12211. The phone number is 518-464-0449. Room rate for NYS Delegates and guests is $115 per night plus 14% tax for either a Single, Double, Triple or Quad room. Just mention NYS USBC Annual Meeting when making reservations.
